Glen Morton Miller, Jr. was born March 08, 1921 in Springfield, Illinois.  He went to be with Jesus on April 28, 2011.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Glen Morton Miller, Sr. and Lena Frances Terry Miller, one brother, Gerald Miller, one sister, Frances Garmon and one grandson, Donald DuFresne.  He married Erma Grace Wharton on June 20, 1941, and she passed away October 27, 2002.  Glen is survived by one son, Merrill Miller of West Hills, CA, one daughter, Glenora Owen, of Louisville, KY, six grandchildren, Michael Miller, Robert Miller, Christina Miller, Daniel DuFresne, Dennis DuFresne and William Limoges, eight great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, two brothers Guy and Gilbert Miller, and two sisters, Verna Mae Hodge and Glenna Bozarth.

Glen was raised on a dairy farm in Illinois.  He began working when he was six years old and never stopped!  In World War II he served in Panama with the Army Corps of Engineers. His entrepreneurial giftings led him to establish his own successful chain of eleven “Glen Miller’s Bakeries of Hollywood,” in Southern California in the late 1940’s and early 1950’s.  In 1951, Glen went to work for Menasko, a manufacturer of landing gear and missile fuel tanks.  Early in 1960, he and his wife, Erma, developed Technical Publications, a publication house dedicated to the high quality typing for the electronic and space industry.  In 1965 Glen’s life took a turn when Demos Shakarian asked him to record a meeting for the Full Gospel Businessmen’s Fellowship International.  That launched him into a journey that took him all over the United States, Canada, Mexico and Europe – doing the recording for all of the major conventions for that organization.  In 1967, God gave Glen a vision of a place where families could come and receive spiritual help.  That vision became Lake Hamilton Bible Camp – a local ministry that Glen has pastored and directed since the early 1970’s.  Then, in 2002, at the age of eighty-one, Glen spear-headed another business, Aqua Flow Artesian Well, Inc. – a water bottling company headquartered in Hot Springs, AR. What a guy!

At 53, an age when most men are looking towards retirement, Glen moved full steam ahead to develop LHBC.  Over the years, untold thousands of lives have been touched by the outreach of the ministry God entrusted to Glen.  The audio recordings that he did with the FGBMFI, in the height of the Charismatic movement are still touching lives today.  The many lives throughout the world that have been transformed through the ministry of Lake Hamilton Bible Camp, will only be known in eternity.

In lieu of flowers, Glen would want all donations to be directed to the ministry of Lake Hamilton Bible Camp, PO Box 21516, Hot Springs, AR  71903.
