But the sons of Sceva failed because they did not know who they were. David, in 1 Sam 17, knew who he was and refused to allow his brother or King Saul take his identity in God's promises. He confronted Goliath and won God's victory because he knew his identity in God. We must believe the Holy Spirit and not circumstances or our natural sense, and be obedient to God to obtain victory.
