17LHCD9-7 - Deborah Vails - DRESSED TO KILL - Donation $4.00 - You can’t play with your enemy. When you are in the military they teach you how to fight. God wants to dress us so that we are prepared - armed and ready to battle. Jesus did not shed His blood on Calvary for you to walk in defeat. The Bible says we are to “tread” on serpents and scorpions and all the power of the enemy. We have authority and we need not let the enemy keep taking us down. Discipline is required if we are going to function in the army of the Lord. The army that God is constructing is one that He can both call on and count on. If you’re a prayer warrior, can He count on you to pray in the middle of the night? Can He count on you to get up and seek His face if He calls you? In order to fight effectively we must have a thorough understanding of our armor and how to use it. Deborah uses experiences from her time in the military to highlight similarities to being in the army of God. One of the key components to serving in God’s army is obedience. If you don’t have orders from the Holy Spirit to go, you don’t go. Don’t jump rank. God has an order, a chain of command and there is safety in that. This message is full of common sense that will help you be a better Christian. It has something for believers of all ages.
